TrafFix Devices, Inc., and its subsidiaries ("TrafFix", "TDI", "we", or "us") provide this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information that applies to our services, as well as your options regarding the collection and use of that information.
The Short Version
We collect Usage Data and other information that you provide to us and only what is required to fulfill the purpose of our interaction. TrafFix Devices, Inc., and its subsidiaries, does not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose its customers personally identifiable information to third party organizations for any purpose, unless required by law.
Overview
Any person interacting with TrafFix services who provide TrafFix with names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, domain names or URLs, or any other Personally Identifiable Information (PII) permits TrafFix to use such information for commercial purposes of its own, including contacting individuals about products and services which may be of interest. The only Personally Identifiable Information we collect is volunteered by the user of TrafFix services, including form submittals, site registrations, and purchases. This information is used to conduct business, improve customer satisfaction, website reliability, and is never shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
What Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on our Sites include:
- Usage Data (Analytics): We use a self-hosted instance of Matomo analytics (meaning the data stays on our servers) temporarily along side Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the links you click. This helps us understand website traffic and improve the site for everyone. This data is processed in a way that does not personally identify you and is used solely for internal analysis.
- Consent Data: We store your cookie consent preference using a cookie.
- Contact Information: If you use our contact form, we collect your name, organization name, e-mail address or telephone number, the message you send, and how we should contact you.
- Order Information: If you place an order through our online store, we collect your name, billing & shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, payment information (handled and processed by authorize.net).
How We Use Your Information
The use the limited information we collect solely for the following internal purposes:
- To analyze usage data and trends to improve our website's content, functionality, and user experience.
- To respond to your inquiries if you contact us via the contact form.
- To respond to your order placements and to remember your online account for easier login.
- To maintain the security and operational integrity of our website.
We do not use your data for 3rd party advertising, profiling, or any other purpose other than operating and improving our sites, responding to your direct requests, and processing your online orders.
Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.
TrafFix does not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old, nor do we allow third-parties, including ad networks or contractors, to collect PII from children under 13.

We use administrative, physical, and technical security measures to help protect your information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
